Goal & Passion
Harvey’s was founded on the idea of change and adaptability. Dining has been forever changed with the current events and the ease of technology. Our restaurant will combine multiple ways of dining, finding farm-fresh ingredients, homewares, and neighborhood-style hospitality. The Little City is a perfect place for us to call home. Small town feel with a modern flair. We cannot wait for you to stop by and become a new friend over some food and drink!
Chef/Owner: Thomas Harvey
Thomas started his hospitality journey picking up restaurant jobs in high school. He went to school for music, but the kitchens kept calling to him. He eventually traveled around working in different restaurants. From Steakhouses to Sushi Bars, learning styles from multiple different cultures. Thomas graduated from L'Academie de Cuisine in Gaithersburg. After school, he went to work for Frank Ruta at Palena in Washington DC.
He then went on to work with Fabio Trabocchi at Casa Luca, where he became Chef de Cuisine and learned the art of Italian cuisine. His next stop was at The Partisan, working with Nathan Anda, learning about charcuterie
After meeting his wife Inna, Thomas moved back to Virginia and worked as the Corporate Chef for the Tuskies Group overseeing operations of Tuscarora Mill, Magnolias at the Mill, FireWorks Pizza, and South Street Under Bakery. Harvey's has been a longtime dream of Thomas'. Finally able to share family recipes and bring a vision of hospitality in a neighborhood
Manager: Tammy Brennan
Tammy began her journey in the restaurant business at the tender age of 13. In her home state of Maine, she grew up with fresh fruits and vegetables and to this day loves to garden and cook. It’s no surprise Tammy built a career as a restaurant manager because she excels at entertaining, chatting with customers, and making everyone around her feel like family.
She has spent the last decade as a waitress, bartender and manager in Falls Church, after working and raising her family in Benita Springs, Florida. When she’s not at the restaurant, Tammy can be found cruising around Virginia on her beloved motorcycle Ruby.
